I loved producing this incredible summer Jersey City wedding at Liberty House for Gina and Patrick! With delicious food and a captivating atmosphere, it was the perfect personal celebration with unreal views.
The Venue: Liberty House in Jersey City
Gina and Patrick’s Jersey City wedding was just amazing. Liberty House, a Landmark Venue, is a staple in the Jersey City community. With unparalleled views of the Manhattan skyline that can be seen from anywhere inside the venue, it’s a beautiful spot to celebrate and party with your family and friends. Liberty House has both indoor and outdoor space for weddings, with gardens, fire-side seating, private cabanas, and breathtaking views of the New York City skyline, Ellis Island, Lady Liberty, and Liberty Landing Marina. Liberty House is located inside historic Liberty State Park. Gina and Patrick held their wedding ceremony officiated by family friend, Bill, outside followed by a reception inside the Liberty Room.
Planning Gina and Patrick’s Wedding
Working with Gina and Patrick was a chef’s kiss. As we considered different venues for their wedding in the New York or Jersey areas, Gina and Patrick knew they wanted a killer menu. We tasted food at Liberty House and were wowed. During the cocktail hour, we had a chef come in to roll sushi and present it to guests on demand. It was a hit and a highlight for Gina and Patrick’s guests!
Gina grew up in L.A., so we knew we would have guests flying in for the wedding. Patrick grew up in New Jersey, and now the couple lives in Manhattan, so New Jersey was a perfect spot for the wedding, and it was so incredible at Liberty House. As the sun went down, just looking across the bay at all the lights made it feel like you were in New York City.
I love incorporating personal touches into wedding celebrations, and one of my favorites from Gina and Patrick’s day was the cigar table to honor Patrick’s father. Guests were able to enjoy a cigar and it was a sweet way to remember and honor Patrick’s dad.
A favorite moment from Gina and Patrick’s wedding at Liberty House was during the reception. Gina’s dad is an actor and singer, and growing up told her that he always wanted to sing at her wedding. That morning he practiced and sang with the band as they prepared for the wedding, and when it came time, he and Gina danced to their song together. Overall, it was a really wonderful day!
Here’s what Gina and Patrick had to say about working with Elaine Events:
“We wanted to thank you for everything you did to make our day so so special. Our family and friends had an amazing time. We were so grateful to have our day be exactly as we had envisioned it.”
